The historic Underbanks area of the town centre is under-going a major programme of redevelopment, partly funded by £1.8m from the Heritage Lottery Fund. It is packed with unique, independent traders offering a wide variety of food, drinks, gifts, fashion, rare magazines, hairdressers, bars, cakery and bakers – great taste in every sense of the word.
